Continuity is King

For us, Sinebrychoff highlights the importance and beauty of a long-lasting relationship.

We first shot for the beer brand Karhu in 2008, even before our current company even existed. Since 2017, we’ve had an ongoing exclusive partnership with Sinebrychoff covering all their brands: Karhu, Battery, Koff, Koff Long Drink, Crowmoor, Crisp, and others.

This collaboration has been mutually beneficial. For us, it has provided stability and the possibility to build a company in a field where such building is extremely rare. Production companies typically move from one project to the next with no continuity or security, often operating as small units that scale up with freelancers. That model drives costs up for clients and limits growth potential for the producer.

Our long-term partnership has allowed us to employ people full-time and keep expertise in-house. For the client, this creates significant cost savings and consistency in quality.

Karhu is the market leader for beer in Finland. A status quo Ääri has helped maintain during the duration of our shared journey.

Sinebrychoff is the oldest brewery in the Nordics, founded in Helsinki more than 200 years ago. The brewery’s roots remain visible in the city through Sinebrychoff Park, which still carries the name.

Its brands are each significant in their own right.

Battery, the energy drink brand, originated in Finland in the 1990s and is now the market’s second-largest. It also plays a role in parent company Carlsberg’s global portfolio.

Karhu, originally from the city of Pori, is the leading beer brand in Finland and one of the strongest brands in Carlsberg’s global ecosystem when measured by per capita market penetration.

Over the years, our collaboration has evolved through several agency partnerships.

First, we worked alongside Hasan & Partners, then Reaktor Creative, and most recently N2. Despite changes both within the brand and among partners, we’ve remained part of the core creative team.

We work closely and transparently with Sinebrychoff, often joining the conversation early in the design process. This ensures efficiency, visibility, and shared understanding of what’s being planned and how it should be executed.

This long-term partnership continues to remind us that real creative progress happens when trust, continuity, and shared goals are built over time.
